 Spearheading contract administration, expediting & logistics activities for 0.74 MTPA MA’ADEN Greenfield Aluminium Smelter Project at Ras Az Zawr, Saudi Arabia for which Bechtel is the EPCM contractor. This aluminium smelter will have 4 pot lines having 180 Pots in each potline. On completion, this will be the largest single location aluminium smelter in the world.
 Handling all post award activities for major packages viz. Kick Off Meetings, Supplier Drawing & Data submittals, pre-despatch inspection, adherence to delivery schedule and ensuring that project milestones are achieved
 Logistics co-ordination, invoice processing, BGs, handling claims & disputes, amendments & PO close out
 The challenges involve working with a transnational project team in tandem with Bechtel Overseas Inc base office at Montreal, reaching out to suppliers spread across the globe, organizing meetings and follow ups while adjusting to different time zones.
 Working with Bechtel Procurement System (BPS) – a high end integrated ERP system built on SAP & Oracle platform that connects Bechtel Offices worldwide and also its suppliers / contractors.
 Integration of six sigma concepts into work. Bechtel has been practicing six sigma since the year 2000.
