Responsibilities and Achievement.
• Developed a Business Plan approach for the HRD Division. Current Budget(2009-10) Rs.17.5 million. The Business Plan takes a holistic view of the HRD function for the Corporation.
• During the current year a pilot Competency Mapping exercise being undertaken for executives of the corporation.
• An Employee Climate Survey conducted during 2007-08 in association with an external consulting agency.
• Co-coordinated the development of a revised Vision, Mission Statement for the Corporation over the period 2006-07.
• Co-ordinated a Manpower Planning Study during 2006-07 in association with external agency.
• During the current year(2009-10) around 2800 training man days will be provided, that is around two training man days per employee per year.
Senior Manager(HR- Training & Admn.)- April 1999 till March 2004.
Responsibilities and Achievements.
• Identification of ‘Training Needs’ of the employees in association with the Profit Center/Regional Heads.
• Formulation of an Annual Training Calendar based upon the “Training Needs.”
• Conducting training programs in association with reputed institutions/ agencies/ trainers.
• As in-charge of Medical Administration I handled the provision of Inpatient and Out patient facilities to MMTC employees through an all India network of empanelled hospitals. Budget handled around Rs. 70 million.
Senior Manager In-Charge, Sub Regional Office Patna, Bihar-
June 1996 to March 1999.
Responsibilities and Achievements.
• Marketed MMTC’s fertilizers (DAP, MOP & UREA) in Bihar and exported Urea to Nepal.
• Established MMTC brand name in Bihar. Achieved sales of more than Rs.500 million.
Senior Manager In-Charge, Sub Regional Office-Kandla, Gujarat-
July 1995 to June 1996.
Responsibilities and Achievements.
• Handled the logistics of MMTC’s imports of Finished and Raw fertilizers and the exports of Agricultural products through Kandla port.
Manager (Engineering Products)- April 1991 to July 1995.
Responsibilities and Achievements.
• Developed business for specific Engineering Products, namely Earthmoving equipment, Industrial Explosives and Conveyor Belts.
• Achieved business of Rs. 150 million in face of intense global competition.
Deputy Manager (Export Development Services)-
February 1989 to March 1991.
Responsibilities and Achievements.
• Export Development Services Division of MMTC, formed to assist Small/Medium enterprises in exporting their goods to the overseas markets. This assistance encompassed financial/raw material assistance and promoting exports through Buyer Seller Meets and participation in select Trade Fairs.
Deputy Manager (Minerals)- March 1986 to February 1989.
Responsibilities and Achievements.
• Developed business for the Minerals Division of MMTC, the product being Bauxite. Achieved business of Rs. 8 million for bauxite
• Assisted in the establishment of a “Counter trade Cell” for MMTC’s Minerals Division. From April ’87- Jan ’89 this Cell handled business of around Rs. 800 million
.
