Launched Birla
White Cement in Bombay and Maharashtra. Being totally new product and white
cement was not common in use, had planned and implemented various strategies
to create demand for the same and appointed dealers to sell the product on
regular basis.
Birla White,
being new product, personally met several Building Material and Cement
Dealers, Builders, Architects, Contractors, Tile and Paint Manufacturers and
conveyed about the use and benefit of white cement and developed the business
from grass-root level.
Organized several
hundreds meets and conferences of Builders, Architects, Dealers, Retailers,
Masons, press-reporters etc. during my tenure with the company
Was responsible
for achieving sales and collection targets and development and implementation
of various advertising plans.
Travelled
extensively in Bombay and Maharashtra, almost 20-22 days in a month and
met/visited many tile, paint manufacturers, Builders, Architects, Government
Officers, Dealers, Contractors, Masons etc. to increase sale of Birla White
Cement.
Launched Birla
Super-53 Grade Cement in 1990, again new product of Indian Rayon & Industries
Limited in Maharashtra and later on taken direct responsibility of sale in
Pune District.
Contributed
services related with market support function which included advertising,
sales promotion, conferences, training programs etc. for Rajashree Cement as
well as Birla Super Cement.
Created market
awareness regarding Grade Concept in Cement. Earlier Cement was not known
with grades like 53 grade cement, 43 grade cement etc. Birla Super cement was
the first company to launch 53 grade cement.
Uplifted image of
Rajashree Cement in the market. Earlier image of Rajashree Cement was very
low and the product was just considered as ordinary cement only without any
direct resemblance with high quality cement and had contributed efforts in
establishing image of Rajashree Cement as High Quality Cement.
As earlier worked
with Raymonds and Titan Watches, suggested the concept of showroom and shoppe
in Cement Business which was initially opposed by many people but successfully
extended efforts in opening many Birla Super Shoppe and now the company has
several hundreds of Birla Super Shoppe in the country.
