Achievements:

Handled 120 Philips Consumer Service Centers across India.

Our Quality team was adjudged as the 2nd best team among 29 teams participated globally at an International Quality-meet.

I was the team leader in the design & development of 42” Plasma TV chassis , to suit Indian environmental condition & fluctuation of power supply in record time.

Improved cost of non-quality at service centers by 20% ( at all India level )

Received Global Quality award for this achievement at Eindhoven.

14” B/W Tube operating life improved by a factor of two in collaboration with our technical team ( from 8K working hours to 15K working hours of the CRT )

2) Head Manufacturing Operations, Contract manufacturing of Audio and CTV Products (1990 to 1998) And also handled Plastic manufacturing unit for two years in the same period.

Achievements:

Handled very complex Supply-Chain-Management as the contract manufacturing activities were spread across the country in seven states to take advantage of Tax holidays.

Installed, Commissioned & managed CTV manufacturing activity at M/s Dixon in Chandigarh & in Noida. ( Philips OEM )

Installed, Commissioned & managed MTV Manufacturing activity & CTV remote control unit at M/s Astec in Goregaon. ( Philips OEM )

Installed, Commissioned & managed Audio systems manufacturing activity at M/s Dynaex in Noida. ( Philips OEM )

Gas assist injection moulding introduced for the first time in India for CTV cabinets.

3) Manufacturing head of Micro-motor & Magnetic head operations (1987 to 1990 )

Achievements:

Installation/Commissioning of the project. Training of Production and Process Engineers and achieving global bench-mark targets on Cost, Quality, Delivery and Reliability (As per Philips norms).

In Micro-motor manufacturing process we succeeded in eliminating one work-station by including that operation within the cycle time of the winding operation of the rotor.

Headed Operations, to supply micro motors and magnetic heads to all Philips Manufacturing sites of Audio Products in India/abroad, which included Complex Supply-Chain- Management
