Summary:  A Chartered Accountant by qualification, I have over 15 years of experience in Finance and Financial Services. In the initial 5 years, I was involved in Audits, Taxation & Accounting. Thereafter, I moved on to Wealth Management and was part of the start-up team that set up India's first fee-based wealth management practice with Allegro Capital Advisors Pvt Ltd. Over a period of 9.5 years, the wealth management business in Allegro grew across the country and being an integral part of the team , I was exposed to all aspects of setting up and building the business. I grew from an RM to eventually head the business. In July 2010, I joined ICICI Securities to set up and head the Private Wealth business in South India. .

Job Description : I joined Allegro Capital Advisors (P) Ltd., in its inception as a Relationship Manager in the Private Banking division. In Private Banking (a.k.a Wealth Management), Allegro pioneered the fee-based wealth advisory model in India which meant clients were acquired for an upfront annual fee and services rendered were across the financial spectrum viz portfolio management, tax advisory, risk advisory, financial planning etc. Since the company had just started, my role involved a significant amount of business development ie client acquisition. After acquiring a client base, I was made a Team Manager and a year later in 2003, I was made Branch Head of the Private Banking business in Bangalore, our flagship branch. After a successful run as Branch Head, I became National Head of Private Banking in April 2008. Joining the company at its inception resulted in a very hands-on and direct exposure into all aspects of the business viz business development & client acquisition, systems and processes, investment management and research, recruitment & training, P&L management etc..
