Profile Synopsis

Summary:  The experience of 30 years is defined into two equal parts, the first half is in the Service Industry which enabled me to work at different locations in India and Outside .The exposure of the former half formed the springboard for the latter half of professional life into International marketing and manufacturing activities in an ever increasing competitive environment. Strong man management skills, have been successfully employed in handling a cross section of nationalities starting form South Korea to The American continent in the course of the work tenure in the Aviation Industry.
Ability and confidence to complete projects/task within the time frame, is yet another of the traits inculcated during the service in the Airlines. These strong and well honed skill were carried over to the Textile Trade from year 1989.The other major gain was in the area of logistics which led to well planned movement of raw materials from the various vendors located in different parts of India. This led to complete and timely information to the overseas clients. The awareness was acute that if along with the product, efficient service was provided at no extra cost to the buyers, this gave us an edge over our competitors. Additionally cost saving accrued on account of strong negotiation skills at my disposal.
Sound knowledge of fabric weaving/processing has been acquired as a result of frequent visits to the various weaving centers and process houses. A meaningful rapport has been established with powerloom /mill sectors. The confidence to source the different yarns and fabrics from these locations in India is the outcome of the extensive domestic travel undertaken. The overseas travel since the year 1982 has given me the exposure and the confidence to work along side the people from different countries with divergent sensibilities and work cultures. Have returned to India in 2005, after a short stint of 4years on China Mainland. .
